Master or Grand Master?

You will sometimes hear that a person “became Grand Master of his Lodge”.

Let us shed some light; The Master of the Grand Lodge, of whatever constitution, is the Grand Master; the Master of any particular lodge is the Master.

Under the English Constitution, as shown in the chart below, there are London, Provincial, and District Grand Masters.

Other Constitutions have similar arrangements.
